Merge Audio

Join several audio files into one MP3 or WAV, in the order you choose.

Your files stay on your device.

Drop recordings to join them in order

MP3, WAV, M4A, AAC, AIFF, FLAC, OGG or WebM, up to 2 GB each.

Your recordings are read on your device and are not uploaded or changed.

How joining works

  • Decoded, then joined: Every file is decoded and the audio is joined sample by sample. Encoded files are never glued together byte by byte, which would break many players.
  • One common format: If the files differ, they are resampled to one rate (44.1 or 48 kHz) and mixed to stereo if any file is stereo. The page tells you when that happens.
  • Order is up to you: Up to 20 files and 2 hours in total, in exactly the order of the list.

Frequently asked questions

Can I merge MP3 with WAV or M4A?

Yes. Any mix of MP3, WAV, M4A, FLAC, OGG and WebM audio works; everything is converted to the format you choose.

Is there a gap between the files?

No pause is added. The files follow each other directly. MP3 inputs may carry a few milliseconds of encoder delay of their own.

Can I add a crossfade?

Not in this version. The files are joined as they are.

Are tags from the first file kept?

Tags such as title, artist, album and cover art are not copied into the new file. The result contains the sound and the technical information a player needs.
