Merge PDF

Combine several PDF files into one, in the order you choose, directly in your browser.

Your files stay on your device.

Drop PDFs to merge them into one

PDFs up to 100 MB each, or JPG, PNG and WebP images up to 50 MB each.

Your files are read on your device and are not uploaded or changed.

What to know about merging

  • Nothing is rasterized: Pages are copied as they are. Text stays selectable and searchable, and vector graphics stay sharp at any zoom, because nothing is turned into an image.
  • Bookmarks and form fields are not carried over: The new PDF contains the pages. Bookmarks (the outline), fillable form fields and the document information of the source files are left out. Visible page content, including filled-in form values that are part of the page, stays.

Scripts and passwords

Scripts, forms and links in the PDF are never run, submitted or opened. A PDF that needs a password to open is not supported.

Frequently asked questions

How many PDFs can I merge at once?

Up to 20 files with 1,000 pages in total. Each file can be up to 100 MB. These limits keep the browser tab responsive on phones and older laptops.

Can I change the order of the files?

Yes. Drag a file to a new position, or use the up and down buttons next to it, which also work with the keyboard. The final PDF follows the order of the list.

Can I merge only some pages of a file?

Not in this step. Merge the files, then shape the result in Organize PDF: reorder, rotate, delete, or select pages and Keep selected.

Why is one of my files rejected?

The file is either not a PDF, cut off (for example an incomplete download), damaged, or protected with a password. The message next to the file says which of these it is.
