Reading safely
- Shown first, opened only by you: The content is shown as text. A link opens only when you click Open, in a new tab, and only web links (http and https) can be opened at all.
- Photos and screenshots: Choose an image, drop it or paste a screenshot. A sharp, straight picture with some white around the code reads best.
- On this device: Your browser's built-in reader is used where it has one; otherwise a decoder that comes with this page. The image is never sent anywhere.

Does it read bar codes?
No, only QR codes. Bar codes on products (EAN, UPC) use other formats.
What about a Wi-Fi code?
The network name and security are shown; the password stays hidden until you choose to show it.
