Reading large JSON
- A tree you can fold: Objects and arrays open and close with the mouse or the arrow keys; the first levels are open from the start.
- Search keys and values: Matches open their parents so you can see where they sit; values are searched as written in the JSON.
- Paths to copy: Select a value to get its path, such as $.items[2].name, and copy the path or the value.
- Exact values: Numbers are shown as written, so large IDs keep every digit. Up to 500,000 values; larger files can still be formatted.
Frequently asked questions
Which path format is used?
JSONPath style: $ is the root, .name a key, [0] an array position, and ["a key"] a key with spaces or symbols.
Is invalid JSON shown as far as it goes?
No. The tree needs valid JSON; for broken input the page shows the line and column of the first error.
