- A quarter turn swaps width and height; nothing is cropped or resized. The format stays: a PNG stays lossless, JPG and WebP are saved again at a high quality.

Frequently asked questions
My phone photo shows sideways elsewhere. Does this fix it?
Yes. Photos are turned upright first, as they are shown here, and the new image stores its pixels in the orientation you see, so it no longer depends on a hidden orientation tag.
Does rotating reduce the image quality?
No pixels are resized or cropped. A PNG is saved without loss; JPG and WebP are saved again at a high quality, which is not visible in normal use.
Does rotating keep the photo metadata?
Not in the new image: your browser saves it without camera details, the date taken or GPS location. To see what a photo contains first, open Image Metadata.
